Registration forms must be received
by Wednesday; June 4, to participate in the preliminary auditions.
Preliminaries
are held at the Lincoln School,
821 W. 8th
St., Cedar Falls. PLEASE NOTE THIS
IS IN THE NEW LINCOLN SCHOOL.
Sprout auditions will be held from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m., and Seniors
from 10:30 to 12:00. YOU MUST BE PRESENT AT THE AUDITIONS
BETWEEN 9:00 AND
12:00 TO BE CONSIDERED.
The piano
available is a Roland. A Clavinova is used for the show on June
27. We do not use microphones for the preliminary auditions, due to
the proximity to the judges.
If you are
chosen as a finalist, you will be notified by phone by Monday, June
11. You will also receive a confirmation letter. If you cannot
perform in the June 27 show, please let us know as soon as possible
so someone else can take the spot.

chosen as a finalist, your schedule will be as follows.

register with Sandy in Overman Park
(Second and Franklin Streets, Cedar Falls) Band Shell.
***In the
event of rain, the decision on where the competition will be held
will be at the discretion of the Overman Park Committee.
7:15 -- Final
Competition
Sprout
Division performs first, followed by the Seniors. The judges then
choose the winners from both divisions, and the winners are
announced that evening. The show, plus time for deliberation,
usually lasts about an hour and a half.
If you are a
first-place winner in the competition, you will be invited to
ride in the Sturgis Falls Parade on Saturday morning, and to perform
again on Saturday afternoon on the Overman Park stage.
