Registrations will be accepted beginning May 1, 2024 Through June 15, 2024.
Ten Sprout spots and ten Senior spots will be filled on a first-come first-served basis. Applicants who have already qualified for the State Fair will be considered in the order they are received if the 20 spots are not filled by June 15, 2024.

Talent Show Rules

Iowa State Fair/Bill Riley Talent Search rules apply to the Sturgis Falls Celebration Talent Search.

Music

A Clavinova is provided by Sturgis Falls Celebration, if needed. If you are using recorded music, Music needs to be on a CD or a flash drive that is marked and your song should be the only thing on there for ease of our sound booth. Microphones and music stands will be provided by SFC/RAK Productions (Sound Company).

Where To Go

5:45 p.m. – Register at the Overman Park Band Shell, located at 2nd and Franklin Streets, Cedar Falls.

6:30 p.m. – Sprouts begin

Sprout Division performs first, immediately followed by Seniors. The judges choose the winners from both divisions and the winners are announced that evening. The show, plus time for deliberation, usually lasts about 2 hours.

If you are a first-place winner in the competition, you will be invited to ride in the Sturgis Falls Parade on Saturday morning and to perform again on the Overman Park Band Shell Stage at approximately 1:00pm. Please arrive by 12:45pm.
